Same State Full Suite: License Terms

Licensor: Levi Eck, samestateguide@outlook.com. Sold by Levi Eck through Link (Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe affiliate), the merchant of record, which handles checkout, payment, tax and receipts under the Sold Through Link Terms (https://link.com/terms#sold-through-link-terms). Effective: October 20, 2026. These terms cover the Same State Full Suite, called "the Full Suite" here.

The Full Suite files are the Same State Full Suite guide (Markdown and PDF), COSTS-WORKSHEET.md, DAILY-HEALTH-CHECK.md and this license. The starter kit is the folder same-state-starter-kit-<version>/. Its code is licensed under the MIT License in its own LICENSE file (section 6). The Same State Guide comes in its own same-state-guide/ folder with its own LICENSE.md, the Same State Guide License, which governs it.

1. What you're buying. You're buying a license to use the Full Suite. You aren't buying the Full Suite's copyright. I sell it to you. Link (Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe affiliate) is the merchant of record. It takes your payment, handles tax and receipts, and handles payment support and refunds under its Sold Through Link Terms (https://link.com/terms#sold-through-link-terms). These terms are between you and me, Levi Eck, and cover how you may use the Full Suite.

2. The add-on. The $149 add-on is the same Full Suite at a lower price. It's offered only when you buy the Same State Guide in the same checkout, and it isn't sold on its own. If an order includes the add-on without the Same State Guide, no files are delivered for it, and I'll have that payment refunded in full. Email samestateguide@outlook.com if that happens to you.

3. What you may do. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to read, download, print and keep the Full Suite files for yourself, on as many of your own devices as you like, and to use what they teach to build and run your own setup, including one you use for your own work or business. You may fill in the costs worksheet and the daily health check for your own use. You may copy the commands and short configuration examples in the Full Suite guide into your own setup. The license is for one named person per purchase. If a business buys it, one named person at that business may use it.

4. What you may not do.

Share, post, upload or send the Full Suite files to anyone else, or put them in a shared drive, course or training set.
Resell, sublicense, rent or give them away.
Use them to build or run a setup for someone else as a paid service, or to teach them as a paid course or workshop.
Remove the copyright notice.
Use the Full Suite to copy or imitate someone else's words, writing style or voice without their consent, impersonate anyone, or do anything unlawful or deceptive. Your words only.

Short quotes with credit, for example in a review, are fine. This section doesn't limit what the MIT License lets you do with the starter kit's code (section 6).

5. What's not included. The Full Suite is a written guide and a starter kit of code. It doesn't include software I run for you, hosting, accounts, model credits, setup help, calls, coaching, consulting or any done-for-you work. I don't run, monitor or have access to your setup. Support means fixing files that don't work (section 11).

6. The starter kit's code. The starter kit's code is licensed under the MIT License, in the kit's own LICENSE file, not under these terms. Its NOTICE and THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md files list what it relies on. The software the kit installs, and anything the Full Suite tells you to install, comes under its own license from its own authors. Sections 2, 5 and 11 to 18 of these terms still apply to your purchase of the kit.

7. Third-party tools, prices and names. The Full Suite refers to tools and services from other companies, such as Grok, Grok Bot, Obsidian, Microsoft, Google and Modal. You use them under their own terms, licenses and pricing, including any limits on their free plans. You're responsible for your own accounts and bills with them. Prices and terms quoted in the Full Suite are as of the date shown and can change; check them before you sign up. Grok, Grok Bot, X, Obsidian, Microsoft, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, PowerShell, Windows, macOS, Mac, Linux, Unix, WSL2, Python, Google, Google Cloud, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Search Console, Google Workspace, GitHub, Linear and Modal are trademarks of their respective owners. Same State is an independent guide by Levi Eck and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of them or any other model or cloud provider mentioned.

8. Your setup is yours. The Full Suite shows how to set up a notes search service in your own cloud account, a read-only copy of your notes for Grok, and a Grok Bot team that drafts work for your approval. You decide what it can read and do, which accounts you connect, and what you approve. You're responsible for your setup's security, for what it does on your accounts, and for following the terms of your employer, clients and providers, including whether a work account may be connected at all.

9. No promise of results or income. The Full Suite teaches how I built mine. It isn't a promise of a result, savings, uptime, a business, a job or income. Cost figures are examples or estimates unless they're marked as measured. What you get depends on your notes, setup, providers and effort.

10. How the Full Suite was written. Written by Levi Eck with help from AI (Grok Bot). Levi chose what goes in and reviewed it.

11. Refunds. Digital download, sold through Link (Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe affiliate), the merchant of record, under the Sold Through Link Terms. Refunds aren't offered for a change of mind, except where the law or Link's refund policy provides otherwise. For example, buyers in the EU and UK can cancel within 14 days under Link's terms. If the files don't work, email samestateguide@outlook.com and I'll fix it.

Two more refunds I give:

Add-on without the guide. If you paid for the $149 add-on without the Same State Guide, I'll have that payment refunded in full (section 2).
Upgrade credit. If you bought the Same State Guide on its own for $29 and later buy the Same State Full Suite for $495, I'll have your $29 refunded in full, so you pay $495 in total, including any sales tax/VAT. There's no time limit, and you don't need to ask: I match the two orders myself and issue the $29 refund by hand after your $495 purchase. It's for the same buyer, matched by the email address on both orders. If you used a different email address, or your $29 refund hasn't arrived, email samestateguide@outlook.com with both receipts. You keep the Same State Guide. The credit doesn't apply to the $149 add-on, which is already priced for buying both together. If your $495 purchase is refunded or cancelled, the credit falls away: if your $29 has already been refunded, the $495 refund is $29 less, unless the law or Link's terms require the full amount.

These refunds add to your rights. They don't reduce any right you have under the law or Link's terms, including the EU and UK 14-day cancellation right.

12. Updates. I may fix or update the Full Suite. Updates are at my discretion; I don't promise any. I'm not obligated to provide support beyond fixing files that don't work.

13. As-is; no warranty. The Full Suite is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, I disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You're responsible for your own data, backups, security, accounts and cloud costs. Some places don't allow these disclaimers, so some of them may not apply to you.

14. Limit of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or cloud charges. My total liability for any claim about the Full Suite is limited to what you paid for it ($495, or $149 for the add-on). This doesn't limit liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud or intentional misconduct.

15. Indemnity. If you misuse the Full Suite or break section 4, and someone makes a claim against me because of it, you'll cover my reasonable costs of that claim.

16. Ending the license. Your license to the Full Suite files ends automatically if you break these terms. Sections 5 through 18 still apply after that. Your rights under the MIT License for the starter kit's code are governed by that license.

17. Law. California law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Riverside County, California, handle any dispute between you and me, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim at home. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer laws that can't be waived. Checkout, payment and Link's refund handling are governed by Link's Sold Through Link Terms.

18. Everything else. These terms, together with the MIT License for the starter kit's code and the Same State Guide License for the Same State Guide, are the whole agreement between you and me about the Full Suite. Link's Sold Through Link Terms separately cover checkout, payment and Link's refunds. If Link's refund policy gives you more than section 11, Link's policy applies. If a part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. I may update these terms for future purchases, and the version you accepted applies to your purchase.
